We Just Get Angry

Poetry By: Angie Blake

I was angry tonight when I wrote this one. For no particular reason, I just had to write it out of me. Because sometimes we just get angry.

I'm not going to compare my anger with the wind,
I'm just going to say how mad I am,
There's no hidden message to send,
I'm just writing it out because I can.

I'm not going to say my tears reflect how I feel,
I cry because I'm sad,
I've always been known to keep it real,
It's ridiculous to wish for something you never had.

I've been known at times to be too honest
Some may even call me bold,
Some people don't want me to forget,
Some judge and think I'm mighty cold.

Before you judge me and call me name,
Just look in the mirror and you'll see,
Maybe some of our hurts are quite the same,
And you won't be quite so hard on me.

Maybe someday I will feel better about all of this,
for right now I just wanna say who I really am,
Maybe I'll regret all the things I might miss,
But, I can only change the things I can.
