Eras upon eras you have seen
Ice, snow, heat, rain, darkness
The inferno of the desert and the glacial waterflow
Sunbaked and moonshone
Nothing surprises you
If you had a language
What wisdom would you impart?
Your majestic stature
Ancient and mysterious
The color of kings
More knowledge than gods
You cause the earth to rotate
Owner of gravity
The smell of sanctity
Flora and fauna respect
They never attempt to conquer.
Religion does not own you
War does not involve you
Evolution consults you
It asks your opinion.
You stand amongst a sea of your brothers
Yet you are their vertical conqueror.
You are peaceful
Demanding nothing
Winds whistle through you
To sing of your beauty
And you will remain still
Looking onward
What will come of us?
But you already know.
