The Birth of Death

From here…I can see them.

Rain pouring down each face.

I reach out…wanting them to notice,

For it is for me the rain falls.

But they do not,

I am ignored.

I quickly dive down,

Toward that cold clammy shell,

That was once mine.

They walk away…

And so I follow instead,

Trapped between life and death,

Never to be set free.
