Poetry By: apocalypse monkey

This poem is pretty self-explainatory, so just read it and you will figure it out
*Erebus-place of death and is often represented with the Grim Reaper

Gun fire in the street
Closer with every step
All I see around me
Is the souls of the disceased
Creeping about...
Flying away...
Lurking in the shadows...
Rising to the Heavens
Sinking down to Hell
Death and Erebus* are near...
Very near...
As I step over the dead,
I remember what you said about life
"It's just a waking dream"
Well, I know what you mean,
But that's not how it seems right now
As I try and percieve
What death would really be
I pick up a gun
And hold it to my head
"Death is near...
And soon I will join the beaten and the damned"
Very soon...
All was black
