Fear, I Fear Thee

Blindfolded, confused,
I see not the road,
words from folks,
misleading and distracting.

In a total hurly burly,
the intellect says,
"What shall I do?"
further enhancing,
the perplexity,
effortlessly deranging,
from life's aim.

How beautifully thou masks the heart's ambition,
in shorter than a wink's time,
overpowered by the mind,
shattering dreams,
refined from years.
Fear, I fear thee!
