My mother deceased when I was seven,
I started seeing little crazy things after age eleven.
Months or weeks later after that my grandmother deceased too,
At my age, to just cry was all I could do.
Later in life I moved with my aunt that was drinking badly,
She locked my brother and me outside when she was drinking badly.
So my other aunt got custody of us and I didn't know she was doing cocaine,
Until us both started going through abuse of pain.
When I told him, my sister that was already there, and I got adopted,
That was the only way that I could stop it.
Age fifteen was when I got adopted and age eighteen was when they kicked me out,
Because I filed a police report that he was molesting two of the boys when I found out.
I was on the streets homeless for a week,
But I kept climbing to success like I was determined to reach a mountain peak.
Then my cousin came and got me and helped me move in with my aunt,
Later she kicked me out then it seemed like for survival, I had to hunt.
So I moved in with my father but his sister didn't want me there,
I started to feel like, for me, my family didn't care.
I slept with neighbors and spent two more separate nights outside in the cold,
When I came to Great Onyx Job Corps I realized that success last a lifetime and never gets old.
Now I'm here at Great Onyx Job Corps because God has blessed me with a better opportunity,
And I'm thanking Great Onyx and their community.
