Dancing upon the frame...
In the mirror I see my reflection...
and once more ask it the same...
How does she put into words what even angels never told...
How does she keep the secrets that she holds...
When she is locked deep
Within the nightmares....
Of forgotten fears.....
How does she forgive him... For the horrors behind his eyes....
How does she forgive him... For the love of her being lies...
How does she forgive herself.......For not knowing... Dispite the feeling in her gut....
How does she forgive herself...... For still going... Dispite the feeling in her soul...
And the unnamed horror plaguing her, as she walked out that door....
It was to be a special night, one of joy and merth...
But quickly did the tides turn and he did show his worth...
Trapped within that dirty car...
with her forever wearing, the most painful scar...
How does she forgive herself, for his harsh duality....
How does she forgive herself, for his hands's harsh cruelty....
And her buttons torn...
How does she forgive herself... For not ending it right there...
How does she forgive herself... For thinking he changed...
How does she forgive herself... For not returning that demon's stare....
How does she forgive herself....For thinking herself deranged...
How does she forgive herself for cowering and locked in mortal fear...
That it would happen again...any day of any year...
I turn away from my reflection...
the broken shards of mirror on the floor
How do I forgive ..... Giving him the satisfaction
Of My wrists bloodied...his victim being me.
