Death How Thou Art Painful

My heart stands still

Your image sown

in my temple

no core for my own

Your heart beat stands

at slowing pace

Mine starts to race

Clammy are my hands

Life goes on around me

But yet I care for you

Even though your gone by now

My heart forever true

Death has infested your body

Within you are limp

The grasp I once held

Upon your Heart

is now gone as it is no more

And as you fly

across the celestial skies

The heart inside me

breaks, cries, and dies

Life without you

seems almost like confinement

without your heart next to mine

Baby I cant and wont

However over the next year

The dark goes away

And then I decide to stand out

in my own way

I meet a new friend

different from the rest

When it comes to giving love

she is the best

Then my heart mends

and scars contract

once wide open

now only a crack

With my new friend

I start to have fun

more than the rest

cause from her heart

love comes the best

Yes I am different

but instead of hate

Learn like my lover

and put love on the plate

Forever I will remember you

Even while I’m with her

Thanks I have felt this when my father died. Althoguh when I wrote this it was about lover's it could be determined that it was about a parent,relative,friend,etc.
