In darkness I remain...

In darkness I sleep,
In darkness I awake.
My soul forever weeps,
Another step I take.
My breath now runs short,
My heart begins to die.
Such cruelty of this sort,
Has now left me to lie.
How long must I now wait?
When will my soul be saved?
Where is my lifelong mate?
My lonely heart has raved.
I say there is no one!
You will alone remain.
There is no where to run!
No way to remain sane.
In darkness now I lie,
And so shall I die.
