Two Different Paths

The paths are starting to get further apart...and I can't help but be happy.

It means nothing,
Absolutely nothing...

I'm done writing about it,
All of it.

It makes me laugh,
And wonder why I ever bothered to keep it alive..

If it ever was, that is.

But I'm finally done.
I've said it before, but I mean it now.

Summer's around the corner,
And new memories will fill the old ones.

We were given a choice long ago,
I chose one way, you chose another.

We finally just went down two different paths...
I'm walking, hoping this thick forest will seperate us for good.

This path is quiet, but I'm content.
I can only imagine what yours is like...

But then again,
It doesn't matter much now, does it.

I'd love it if I could just forget,
Turning around, I can still see the beginning of the separation.

One hand extended to the space..
I can still see through the cracks of the trees.

Keep walking on..
Down the two paths...

Can't take back what you did now,
It's all set in stone.
Only choice to keep on walking,
And wait for the beginning to disappear.

I'm not sure how long this path is,
I'm not sure where it's taking me,
Just hoping the forest gets thick enough to block you out.

And I hope these two paths don't come together,
I think I'll run off.

It's always been two paths,
But I lost my way and started walking with you.

I've found it again,
And everything is starting to become clear...
This forest is getting thick.

One hand stretched out,
Just to see if it was all a dream.

You keep walking, without a glance.
I stare, amazed, and wondering...
But I keep walking...
Walking far away.

We took our two paths,
And everything is getting better.

I promise not to think of you,
One more time.....
