From the beginning this was just a game.
Playing with my feelings was entertainment.
I never meant anything to you.
I was so blind to your true intentions.
You just used me,
And when you were done you left me there.
You lied to me from the beginning,
Those three words meant nothing to you.
They were just pawns in your attempt to get to me.
I was just another unimportant person in your way to the top.
I was never something to you.
This was something so insignificant to you.
I went out of my way to make you happy,
To make myself a better person for you,
But you had lied to me all along,
And you tore me apart,
Enjoying every minute of it.
You loved to see that I was so attached to you
That I wouldn’t see what you were doing,
Until it was too late.
I put so much trust in you,
And it was all in vain.
This was a disaster from the beginning.
I should’ve known,
I should’ve learned from my experiences.
But I chose to ignore the signs.
I was so happy,
Because I thought someone loved me the way I loved them.
Just because you said those three words,
I put my heart in your hands.
I said I wouldn’t come back,
But you made your feelings seem so real,
Your intentions so true.
I wanted to believe you,
But I should’ve known you had never meant it,
It was a lie from the beginning.
I won’t come back,
Not now,
Not ever.
Nothing was ever true,
Deceit was all you were,
And all you ever will be.
That’s how you have been,
From the beginning.
