I thought I meant something to you,

Something other than this.

But now I wonder why I ever thought that,

When you clearly had no cares for me.

I was so blinded by love,

I thought you were the one,

But you lied to me,

And broke my heart.

I had so much trust in you,

I looked up to you as my savior,

Someone who really cared,

But I guess I was wrong.

You made me think something that wasn’t true,

You led my feelings astray.

You kept me thinking you cared, you loved me,

And then you went away.

You ignored me,

You thought I was insignificant.

You left me in the dark with no one to protect me,

And let pain overtake me without a glance in my direction.

I really thought you cared,

I really thought you loved me,

But you were just using me for your advantage,

Just to feel powerful because of your weaknesses.

You let people walk all over me,

Even after all I had done for you.

I would have helped you fight your battles,

But you chose to hurt me instead.

It felt so great for you to be on top,

You didn’t care who you hurt.

I stumbled, you laughed,

I cried, you mocked.

You killed me,

You knew my heart was so fragile,

Just for your personal gain.

I was so mistaken,

I thought I had found the one.

But you are just like the rest,

A liar.

Now I’m nothing inside anymore,

And not a single person knows what’s wrong.

I’m repairing slowly,

Hiding from my attackers.
