Remember what we've lost...

I see this world in a different light,

Where sun is warm and days are bright,

There is no bloodshed, no famine, no drought,

Laughter and happiness resounding throughout.

There is love and joy and peace,

But this place is not without sadness,

For no place ever is.

The people here are kind, but are not without fear.

Everyone is gentle, they respect their Mother Earth.

But anger is abounding,

Within this land of peace.

The people now are maudlin,

They weep bitter tears of grief.

The grass is no longer green,

The earth is plagued with death.

The gardens now have disappeared,

To be replaced by walls of stone.

The world of love is gone,

Sorrow rules it now.

But if we care,

And love,

Once more,

Perhaps,

One day,

We shall find,

That long forgotten shore.
