Frozen Eternity

Poetry By: Ashleigh Butcher

you know that moment when you catch someones eye- and it feels like time stops in that moment? Well, my moment-stopper happens to give those glaces quite frequently... I hate to be cliche when writing anything that may have even the slightest romantic connotation- so therefore i hope this isn't. The verses are short- and hopefully everything is expressed in them. Getting to the point quickly is sort of my thing; the moment itself is short- and therefore i feel the description should not be long and waffling. I hope the poem, like the moments, are of large impact- despite their length.
Have love; find peace; give hope.

Quiet is the moment leased;

And paused the scene, as time has ceased

to move in it's existant pace;

And we (with able bodies graced)

are still, no motion in our show

upon the fabled path of time to go-

But rather, in your eyes I see

A moment in frozen eternity.
