I often look at the ways of society
And think how it has lost its dignity.
People living in frivolous ways
When they escape the sun’s rays
At night we see a different life
Surrounded by troubles and strife
And nothing can be done to stop this.
But if I had only one wish
I’d see this world pull together
Where the biggest worry is the weather
Not that you could be shot or cut
By some loony night-time knife wielding nut
We could walk down the streets and forget about fear
Without constantly watching the rear
Live in a world where all is good
No evil left, wish for this I would.
If love could truly conquer all
So no one else would have to fall
By the hands of so much hate
No one would have to dream of that heavenly gate.
