So here's a poem I found in the shadowy crevasses of my computer. I don't even recall writing it, I'm sure it was inspired by some traumatic event or another >.<

These feelings are stuck.
bouncing around inside my head.

Echoing, echoing.

Echoing pain,
shadows, echoing
everything I want to forget.

Can you hear it too?

The noise is defeaning,
impossible to ignore.
Ever present.
Never fading.

Echoing, echoing.

Do you feel remorse at all?
Or do you truly believe
it wasn't your fault?

Are you telling yourself
you can't hear your guilt?
Are you screaming your innocence
to drown out the sound?

Is that why you can't hear it?

Or is it really possible?
Can there be someone like you,
who bears the sins of the world
on his shoulders
but doesn't feel the weight?

If it's true, it isn't fair.
How can one person
completely forget
and another feel forever stained?

Because I do.
Every time I look in the mirror,
I see a sinner staring back at me.

Dripping with vermillion,
with the tears of another,
with suffering not my own.

But it is mine now.

My guilt to keep.
Forever.
