My life is an open book
By: Joe Attanasio
Some people want to deny
Thinking they will ever die
We only live a short time
Yes it seems such a crime
So little time to see and do
Wake up and get a clue
Life will be gone before you know
Your story will be all you show
We write our story every day
Think hard what you want to say
There are many chapters in our story
Some filled with pain, others glory
When you get to chapter two
Chapter one will be all through
Once it is written, it is in stone
The good, bad and ugly shown
If a chapter paints you bad
Try not to feel too sad
The chapter you are writing now
Can be filled with WOW!
Let others read your chapters past
They will give you comments if asked
Listen to what they have to say
Their input can help pave your way
Don’t make up your story as you go
Make an outline, to aid your flow
Only one character you can control
Your character has the whole role
You can edit the sentence in your mind
Once spoken, it is defined
Think of what you want to say
Before on your pages of life it lay
May your story be happy and bold
Your hopes and wishes told
May your life be a lovely fun read
Your legacy filling all that you need
A surprise ending can be expected
The end never is projected
May your story be a classic
Your life have been fantastic!
