A Greek Tragedy
You left our world a shimmering grey,
A man so sweet, ripped right from our arms,
It breaks many a heart to relive such dismay,
You reached out to many and several you touched,
A heart so pure...decency, even kindness itself outclassed.
Never could we bathe in your brave and selfless glare,
A pain now forever, a piece I shall share
Forever I will love you,
It's bold, yet no less true,
My spirit somewhat shattered,
I never truly knew you.
Everywhere you shine,
A result of your fame,
Such a radiant glare,
Who never would have dared.
One thing is now certain,
In the end you will rise,
Eternally a legend in this young man's eyes,
When my chance is over, we may meet then,
I know you now,
We're brothers, we're men.
