In fields of daisies I lay me down
Amid the gentle lovely sound;
of bees and wind and birds
more beautiful they than words.
~~~~~
The song of nature in my ears;
brings to close all my years.
When all around me there was clutter
and mankind’s voices loud did stutter.
~~~~~
Meaningless chatter compared to this
which offers solace and such bliss.
In this meadow I find my peace;
all my sorrows I can release.
~~~~~
To sleep and dream in sweet repose;
in the field where daisy grows.
Where sky is blue and clear this day
I am blessed to this place stay.
~~~~~
In Nature’s arms I am laid to rest;
no burdens carry on my chest.
Eternal slumber in a place divine;
this field of daisies now is mine.
