From dust we came and will return;
it is life’s lesson that we learn.
From birth to grave time is short;
though we try the truth distort.
~~~~
For some life ends before begun;
others age long; life sweetly done.
In youth or age; it matters not;
Death is the promise not forgot.
~~~~
To celebrate or mourn the loss;
is left to loved ones bear that cross.
For life well lived with love and grace;
is not mourned with death’s embrace.
~~~~
From dust we came and will return;
it is life’s lesson that we learn.
Babies greet their life with frightened cry;
Aged greet death with serene gentle sigh.
