Fire of love glows bright at first;
Passion quenching lover’s thirst;
Makes hearts beat so fast it seems;
nothing to dull; the light that beams.
Moments spent in love’s embrace;
Holding each heart; like fragile lace.
Muttering words that sooth our soul;
Sweet words whispered lightly roll;
From lips that touch with gentle kiss.
Filling heart's hope of lasting bliss;
Promise of undying love is spoken
Assuring hearts will not be broken.

Fire of love glows bright at first;
now it quenches not one’s thirst.
Only embers burn; gone the fire;
without its flame there's nodesire.
Fire extinguished; our love is done;
Gone are hearts that beat as one.
Two lives separate; forever broken;
silent lips;empty eyes have spoken.
Cannot make the other love; I know.
What choice is there; but let love go?
Our love; it burned so bright at first;
but without passion; there is no thirst.
