Journey...

Wise men says
When darkness fades
Sun shone its brightest light
Awaking people from dream
Away from the nightmare they’ve had
To a brand new day
Where hope lies in every path taken
Where life seems to be so perfect
That’s what they say

But, things aren’t like it supposed to be
Feels like the sunshine should never exist in this place
Let darkness wraps the world in its wings
For all I see when darkness fade
There’s no love
No happiness and no peace
There is nothing here but DEATH
Be it everywhere I place my sight
And as I walk along this road
Another body lies silently by the street
With a hole in his head
And one more hole in my broken heart

As I walk down the road
There’re bodies all over this place
Children, women, elders, youth
Death is everywhere
As I keep on walking
All I see is death
Not only people’s death
But also the death of insanity

Why, I keep wondering
In such a civilized world today
(That’s what they say)
Do we have to see all these killing?

 Innocent life
As cheap as a bullet
Why can’t we stop this madness?
War brought us nothing
Nothing but suffering, pain
And countless body bag

I keep on wondering
Till suddenly
I heard a cry by the corner of the road
Oh God! Do I have to see this over and over?
For what I see make me shed my tears
The cry comes from a baby
Crying by the side of her lifeless mother

If only darkness can conceal it all from me
Then to darkness shall I brought my soul
For I can’t stand this nightmare anymore
Right here than in the darkness

These sights of death has blackened my thought
Agony inside me, misery around me
Can’t take it no more, it’s killing me
Deep inside me, it’s dying
How can I keep on going on this journey?
Will I survive this journey?
Will there be a stop to this bloodshed?

And as I keep on taking my steps
I keep wondering…
By the time I ended my journey
Will I ended it
By holes in my body?
Or will it be…
In the arms of my loved one?
