As I declared for you a love so keen
I gazed into your eyes, awaiting sound
I hoped and wished but could not have foreseen
that in your words no heart was to be found
As you whispered cold we could never be
you smiled and watched turn single tear to flood
This poem I write for all the world to see
there in your hand a dagger stained with blood
Although with bludgeoned soul I bid goodbye
my spirit never fades, it stands up tall
Despite your words my head remains held high
Be sure of this that never will I fall
I know that while you played the card you drew
this game is lost by me but chance by you
