From palm to fingertip

Poetry By: Bart Muysmees
Poetry

I wrote this as, kind of, a riddle. I wrote this for a beautiful girl I once saw on the train, who had beautiful hands and was playing with her hair. I was intrigued by this simple girl, not knowing who she was or where she was going.

I envy you, for you can touch her skin

I envy you, with all that lies within

I envy you, for you can feel her hair

I envy you, much more than I can bare

Five times you feel, her heart beat in her chest

By her side you lay, when in her bed she rests

Each day again, she relies on you for all

To support or catch, with every rise of fall

I adore you, for her skin is also yours

I adore her, for she's all that in my life I lack

And all I want, is to merely touch and feel

And all I want, is for you to touch me back
