Heat blazes down upon me, unforgiving and harsh
Yet that chill still surrounds me, I'm wounded and unarmed
Once more abandoned, self pitying and absorbed
In my little world of 'sorrow', caused by the weakness of my heart.
Waves crash around me, as the tide begins to crawl
The sound a sweet sensation, blocking all my selfish thoughts
Looking out to sea, seeing far beyond the life I'll lead
I feel my own insignificance, a spec of light on the ocean wall.
An echoing existence, your words have become to me
Your piercing glances resonate, not even i can pretend to see
A fiery passion i saw only at the start
In my heart, I'm aware I'm not all you thought I'd be.
