Are you holding me for ransom

Will I live to see another day?

What could have been the reason

Your motives, can I sway?

Gagged and bound

In this rundown shack.

The filth and stench around me

What brought on this attack?

I was minding my own business

Simply walking down the street.

Then suddenly I'm blindsided

And swept off of my feet.

Thrown into the back

Of a dark and dirty van.

Brought to this unknown location

To hold me hostage is the plan.

You threaten me with death

If someone doesn't pay.

I guess your seeking instant wealth

On this fateful day.

My father is a wealthy man

I've no doubt he will pay.

But he'll hunt you down, like a rabid dog

And then, by God you'll pay.

I've never been so frightened

Never felt so alone.

Trapped here with this evil man

Whose heart is made of stone.

Kidnapped on this bright spring morn.

Hoping to see another.

A glimpse of his face, in the darkness

Dear God, it's my estranged brother.

Comments:

This poem is very emotive, i really admire how you are able to usesuch rhythm to create this atmosphere, very well done.

I extremely enjoyed the middle because it had this constant Rhythm that i liked and very well described.
