A Mini Poem I wrote about a forest and myself in some ways.

I sit here wondering

In the vaults of my mind

I stare out at the gentle forest

Its beautiful creatures

So Elusive

I take a moment to stare

Into the murky waters

I smile as the eels flip

Such misunderstood creatures

So Elusive

Now I walk the rocky road

Gravel crunching underfoot

A stunning red flash

I only caught a glimpse of the fox

So Elusive

The sky slowly grows darker

The shadows cover the twig littered earth

Afternoon sun shines on copper scales

I barely notice the small Lizard

So Elusive

The night sky stars shine brightly

The owls hoot rings spooky

My spotlight shines on the Kola

I nearly step on the angry yabby

So Elusive

So much beauty I have no place among

Yet I am welcomed with open arms

I view all of this beauty around me

But in myself? I miss the point

So Elusive
