Bitter Reality, by M-chan
Screaming, silent, with bitter tears,
This is all my worst of fears.
You don’t hear me,
No one does.
Past this aching masquerade,
You can’t see.
This fortress I’ve built, so grandiose
In its glory,
Hides a bitter story.
It’s something I’ve never thought
Anyone should care to know.
But you, you’re the one
I want to look this way.
I struggle to find
The right words to say.
Only acrimonious silence,
Of the sharpest kind,
Is there to find.
Now I’m tired of these
Hurtful games.
They’ve left me,
And maybe you,
Lame, broken, shattered.
So I’ll crawl away,
From the burning light
Of a new dawn.
It only leaves the taste
Of acid in my mouth.
I’ll return to my palace
Of sweet solitude.
No one will disturb me,
In this ever harsh
Reality.
You run back to loving,
Waiting arms.
It’s a place I could never go,
So I’ll remain
In my spiteful silence.
Wishing, only, for
A long awaited look,
From your direction.
