Left Me Here, by M-chan
Severed ties, long ago broken,
Return to haunt me with the words unspoken.
Old wounds reopen,
Letting wine red blood flow.
You pick at my shattered wings,
Scattering plucked feathers across the ground.
I’m open my mouth but make no sound,
These mute screams
Should have told you how I’m falling apart
At the seams.
With these empty hands of mine
Your fingers used to intertwine.
You left, you ran,
Leaving me in a grey, twilight land.
