Reminders of the pain.

I’m so tired of playing

This heartbreaking game.

You toy with my feelings,

And open old scars.

The old love we had

Died in our bitter wars.

So I’ll go stand,

Alone in the rain.

It’s the only thing there

To cover the pain.

The water will mingle

With my bitter teras,

And maybe just once

I can let go of my fears.

They’re of everything I lack.

From this burning light.
