Your Dead Love

Poetry By: Blackmirror
Poetry

This is definitely not one of my best poems, but I felt the need to leave it unedited. So, here it is, in the simpleness that my poems usually have before I edit them. Hope you like it.

Your Dead Love, by M-chan

With time, let the mysteries be unraveled.

Finally see, over the miles traveled,

Wounds were left unhealed,

And you still unaware of the pain I feel.

We lived through the beginning days,

Me unable to find words to say.

See me here, undone and broken,

Still with thoughts left unspoken.

From this sleepy daze, let us be woken.

Know the truth, in this home we left bare.

Watch over it with gentle care,

And see what might still remain there.

We came back to this rotting place,

And I was met by void space.

The silence threatens and takes,

And another piece of your already empty love breaks.

You turn the other way,

Leaving me to stare at theskies turned grey.

Binding shackles pull me down.

No longer at the top, we lost our crown.

Dragged down with you, I think I'll drown.

Together, we rose.

Apart, away our love you throw.

My weaknesses this exposed.

With time, the mysteries have been unraveled.

I finally see, over the miles traveled,

Wounds were left unhealed,

And you still unaware of the pain I feel.

We live through these ruined days,

Me still unable to find words to say.

Our glasses are now void of wine.

Our love no longer shines.

Two broken fates, intertwined.

Fruitless were the seeds we sewed.

If I am to grasp our hopeless fate, know

That my love did not die those years ago.
