Be still my beating heart

Poetry By: blueskia

The pain, betrayal and anger that is felt after being jilted and left broken to pick up the pieces of what ever life is left.

Be still my beating heart,
For the love that once burnt deep has now but faded away.
For now hatred sets in, revenge is branded in and is here to stay.

Be still my beating heart,
As your feelings for him were ripped and torn apart.

What is left now that love is long gone?
Nothing but an empty shell that carries no feeling.

Hollow are the eyes that were once filled with life,
But now all you see, is pain, suffering and strife.

The spark that once was visible has now but died out.
Joy, hope and love have all been sucked out.

Leaving nothing...
Nothing but a hollow husk of doom and destruction.

Is there any hope?
Will my broken heart ever cope?

Be still my beating heat, be still.
I draw my last breath now be still.
