Our Little Addition
So today your mom peed on a stick
The news was EPIC
a little blue plus sign
A product of your mom's and mine
I told everyone I could
I was jumping around like a sissy, someone even questioned my manhood
I was all smiles from ear to ear
My emotion was more than happy, it was clear
Eight months from now we will have a child
Its a dream come true, this is so wild
We hope for a boy first but it really doesn't matter
Next week we get to goto the doctor
Over the next eight months we will be getting ready for your arrival
Your mom is so happy you should hear her giggle
Oh and all the neat things we get to buy for you
Having to many things will be the only issue
One day I will have to rush your mom to the hospital
I'll hold her hand and listen to her every mumble and grumble
She will push and push and push some more
And hopefully I don't embarrass us all and hit the floor
Our families will rush to await our little addition
pacing the waiting room, excited I reckon
There will be a fight to see who is the first back
We love them all so much, thats the only drawback
Once the final push has arrived
And I notice that I've survived
I'll gather myself and cut the umbilical cord
You will forever be adored
I know you won't understand this because your new
But when your older I'll read this to you
I promise to love you and teach you to be a great person
And I would do it over and over again times a billion
To my Unborn
From Daddy
