Now I am dying

Poetry By: boneman
Poetry

A poem about dying, I do not feel this is a miserable or depressing poem by any means....... In a way its a series of memories of a life spent apreciating the beautiful things in the world.

Nice memories to take to the wherever I like to think.

Now I am dying
Now I am dying no more dawning will I see
Nevermore will the golden rays strike my face
No more dreams to cloud my mind
Nevermore to feel rain upon my face
No more rebirth will I see
Nevermore will I walk in dew soaked meadows
No more springs, the earth reborn
Nevermore will I walk in dew soaked meadows
No more lovers will lay with me
No more summers will I see
Nevermore to shelter under a canopy of green
No more summer rain upon my body
Nevermore will I feel the sun upon my face
No more the bronze in golden summer
No more autumns will I see
Never more to taste the mellow fruitfulness
No more to gaze upon the crown of gold
Nevermore to feel the crisp dawning
No more the early frost
No more winters will I see
Nevermore to scent a frosty day
No more to feel the satin touch of snow
Nevermore to dream of warmer days
No more to dream of passionate spring
Now I am dying no more sunsets will I see
Nevermore to gaze in silent awe
No more to feel a closing day
Nevermore to sleep beside my lover
No more dreams of tomorrow
