have you ever felt that the person you are with may not feel the same way, like it won't work and you are afraid to even try because you don't want to get hurt? so you try to convince yourself that you don't really have feelings for them so you wont get hurt when you find out that they do not feel the same way....
but maybe, you should try because maybe they are in love with you to and maybe it would be worth it eve if you did get hurt

so, maybe you will cry
and maybe it might not work out the way you want it to
maybe you will be crushed and have your heart smashed,
maybe it's a joke
and maybe it don't matter,
or it's all a lie, a dream
maybe it's not real
maybe, just maybe
it will be perfect this time
maybe it will all work out just fine
maybe but how will you ever know
if you just give up or just never try
