A darkness falls inside your head
The fear of news that reality may shed

No comfort arrives to ease your fear
Deafening silence is all you hear

The weeks pass by, day into night
Where’s the letter to end your plight

Sitting, waiting, is that the door?
In the hallway there’s a letter on the floor

Amid the fear, anxiety and grief
Emerge elation of quiet relief
