a bird of spring (old notebooks)

Poetry By: brucek

just looking out the window on a spring day at my parents house and loving nature.

A bird lit on my front yard tree

To preen a weary flighted wing

And find a sturdy green laid branch

To lay her tiresome burdens in.

And as I listened to her songs of spring

And watched her feathers, brown and grey,

She searched for bits of string or twig

To build a nest for futures in.
