I tell my Daddy ‘I’m a good person!’
He asks ‘Why’d you do it?’
I shrug ‘I don’t know!’
He continues to chew me out bit by bit.
‘I didn’t mean to hit her,
Daddy,I swear to you I did not!
She came at me first!
She hurt me quite a lot!’
‘Fine, she came at you first?
Really now, are you sure?’
‘Yes Daddy, of course Daddy!
I wouldn’t because I love her!’
‘You love her you say,
How can you so?’
‘Oh because, Daddy,
She’s the only one I know!’
‘I just don’t understand,
I just cannot see,
If you truly loved her,
You would’ve let her be.’
‘I tried Daddy,
Believe me I did!
But I had no way
To do her rid!’
‘Well, I just don’t see it,
How could you do this?’
‘Oh Daddy, If only you could see,
Then you would be remiss!’
My confrontation with my Daddy,
Ended up trouble for me,
I tried to talk everything out,
But he just wouldn’t see.
