Writing Haiku is hard work. Good for you.
I've only written one in 60 years. I lost the paper copy, but I think it went:
In the night
a newborn fawn
learns the touch of snow

A lovely Haiku, Cara. As you know, it is much harder to write Haiku than it looks. Thanks for sharing this delightful poem. It's funny that I found your poem this morning after I posted my 2nd Haiku piece on Booksie this morning!! Happy writing, reading and commenting in 2008!!
