I Will Rescue You, Love

Poetry By: Carina

This is for Cute Love's challange, which I just barely made ^^" BLAME MY RESEARCH PAPER! Which I'm actually thinking about posting here soon. (Gotta revise a little since it has an important message) Oh yeah, this poem was based on the song "Somewhere" by Within Temptations. Enjoy! And yes, it is a woman going off to rescue her love. :)

Running, running, running
Looking and searching
I will find your captives
Worry not, love

For I am coming

Angst, fear, and longing
Traveling and seeking
Where have they taken you?
I worry, my dear

But I will find you

Confusion, destruction, torture
Fire and kidnaping
How dare they take you away
A mistake, my sweet

For revenge I will take

No river, no woodland, no wall
Castle or soldier
Will keep me from you
Fear not, love

I will rescue you

Bow, arrows, and horse
Nimble and swift
I am but a woman, yet
Look here, darling

I am brave as well

Drums, warriors, and blood
War and family feud
I am shunned by my kinship
I care not, beloved

For I love you more

Life, laughter, and promise
Dreams and desires
Our country is so far away
Come, my love

Our homeland awaits
