Caught Up in a Face-Paced World

Poetry By: Cassidy Small
Poetry

I was feeling overwhelmed by all the things expected of me from the world one night; so I sat down and wrote this. I hope you like it :)

I'm Caught Up in a Fast Pace World

Rush this way, rush that way;

I'm caught up in a fast paced world.

Grow up, they say, there's no time to play!

I'm caught up in a fast paced world.

Well rounded, we all must be well rounded;

I'm caught up in a learning crazed world.

Learn this; learn that; it must be remembered.

I'm caught up in a learning crazed world.

Rushed, crushed and overwhelmed.

I'm caught up in an educated world.

Tell me, when did knowledge become a chore?

I'm caught up in an educated world.

Morals! Humanity! They cheer. How ironic.

I'm caught up in a morally lost world.

Love? It's corrupted. Friendship? It's fake. Family? It's lost.

I'm caught up in a morally lost world.

You're more important than anyone else.

I'm caught up in a self centered world.

You deserve money, fortune, fame, and girls.

I'm caught up in a self centered world.

Empty ambitions this culture chases.

I long for God's beautiful Heaven.

Trapped in a world of lost and hurting.

I long for God's beautiful Heaven.

Yet I'm here for a reason; a short little season.

I will show them what love really is.

I have what they've been searching for.

I will show them what love really is.
