Who would'nt lika a fairy-tale life,

So magical and mystical,

Instead of our own life,

So troubled and practical?

A life of gaiety and colour,

Of fancy dresses and balls,

Of sunny country-side scenes,

Of waking up to the robins' calls.

A life of total bliss,

Sitting on soft,hot sand,

With sun streaming down,

And warming your hand.

Listening to the childrens' shouts,

As they splash in clear, blue water,

A life with no concerns,

A life where nothing matters.

A life full of magic and folk-lore,

A life of eternal mystery,

But because of our tragic reality,

A life like this, we'll. never see
