Wave your hand with delicate charm
In your elegant gesture so polite
Wave away menancing harm
And those fears of the night
Enchantress who turns beasts into men
At whimful fancy, your singular pleasure
And then back into beasts again
In a spiteful fit of your own idle leisure
Heeding your call across the ocean so wide
You captured the Greeks with strange potions
To lie like great cats obediently at your side
And lose all of their homeward bound notions
You cast your spell of love and desire
And held them fast as the years slipped like sand
Encaptured their hearts without love or fire
Until that one broke your heart and your ban
