I wake to a thump in the middle of the night.

What could it be? Could it be another fight?

A dimly lit hallway an even darker room.

I try to stay quiet but run into a broom.

I hear her sobs as he walks my way.

I see him stumble and watch him sway.

I try to move quickly out of his range.

But the feeling that followed to me wasn't strange.
