You are the greatest grandpa we could ask for.
A strong, kind hearted man, my idol and mentor.
You would get on the floor to play with us.
Wrestling and horsing around until grandma would fuss.
Anytime we needed someone you were there.
Giving honesty, trust and love to show you care.
I remember running to jump in your lap for a hug and kiss.
Those are the times I will always treasure and miss.
I think about watching football in your room with you.
I cheered for your team even though I didn't have a clue.
These are the memories that bring a smile to my face.
In my heart, for you there will always be a special place.
Through the strength and tenderness of a hug,
I can feel your warmth and sincere love.
You have taught us to stand tall and strong,
To keep our pride but admit when we are wrong.
In my heart and soul you will forever be,
The greatest grandpa, truely is you to me.
