Midnight Blue

Under the tranquil sky of summers past

I sit watching in the dawn of a blue moon

A grove of lush life and grass of green blades

Stars of light reflect and dance with the ripples of water

One night of bliss in a dream of unwavering distraction

Sounds of distant water crashing as she dances in the shallow pools

She dances with the midnight blue

Under the tranquil sky of summers past

I sit watching in the dawn of a blue moon

A grove of lush life on a grass of green blades

One night of bliss in a dream of timeless illusion

Ethereal sounds of soft singing birds keep beat to her feet as the white cotton dress hangs loose off her shoulders

Feelings of deep seeded love bubble and swell in me as I watch my beauty dance in a world with no flaws

And what I dream in this late midnight hour of blue light

I fear of wakening to a place so un-tranquil

She dances with the midnight blue

Under the tranquil sky of summers past

I sit watching in the dawn of a blue moon

Sounds of distant water crashing as she dances in the shallow pools

One night of bliss in a dream of timeless illusion
