Dragging my heels with a view to stop here
I'm tired and I'm lonely andI need to think clear.
This path is meandering through valleys and streams
In thispicturesque sceneI amaching to scream.
Monotonous and false are the thoughts thatI feel
Grinding and repeating, like themotion of wheels.
No sparkles and sunsets, no serenading love song
The passion has gone, andI got it wrong.
PerhapsI got lost along this journey
Am Iliving someone else's yearning?
Or maybeI should stop being complacent
And consider lifes alternative placements.
I know I'll fight for whatI miss
ButI can't believe it has come to this.
I need some guidenceon this path
And not look back at what we had.
Ithink ourhearts should stay as one
Ican't imagine life when you're gone.
But try for me and pray for us
Don't leave this path dead in the dust.
