Wish I Was There

Poetry By: Charlotte Jayne
Poetry

I wrote this one a few years ago, probably around 2005. After returning from my nineth trip to Turkey, I just wanted to go back again.

Sunlight flutters and brightens the soul

The soft sea shimmers and shines

Mountains of emerald and lime

Entwined with nature, bonded by beauty

Palm trees sway to the shoreline pulse

Rhythm of the waves embedded in your smile

Grapevine caf├ęs caress the coast

Foreign talk speaks universal happiness

Sparkling stars embrace a silent sky

Familiar darkness, fearless nights

Dance with traditions and glitter with memories

Soak up the sun and glow with turkish delight.
