Mamma Jaguar my Furry Friend
By: Chiqui - Angellynn's Furry Friend Challenge
The jungle is green and lush, the wind just right
Perfect for her kill this night
Four cubs the wait with hungers pangs
Knowing mamma will bring food nothing can escape her sharp fangs
The waterhole a perfect spot as she lies still in wait
Where she will make her kill for her cubs and mate
Her spotted shiny coat glimmers under starry skies
Like an x-ray are her focused green piercing eyes
Then she hears them on the other side
Deeper into the grass she crawls to hide
Her muscular body shivering and tense
Now only depending on her sixth sense
Snorting the Buffalo approach the waterside to drink
She marks her prey her eyes do not move to make a blink
Knowing it can be fatal one small mistake
This young bull she will take home to where her cubs patiently wait
With one leap with hell've speed
The young bulls life will end indeed
This accurate prance on his back she now forces him to the ground
Now to suffocate him his nose must be found
His fat young body now so still
She finally has accomplished her kill
Soon the four cubs join in this delightful feast
Filling their empty stomachs on the young Buffalo beast
The Jaguar mama now content
Knowing her wait was well spent
The Jaguar will prowl the jungle by night
And always will be more than just a beautiful sight
Her life's qualities s her strong will
Her destiny is to kill
