My Mother Dearest
Mother Dearest it's been a long, long time
Since we have spoken and said our goodbyes
But everyday I find you right here in my heart
From me you will never be far apart
Mother Dearest of you I am proud
You grew me up to the woman I am
Taught me all I needed to know
Even to dance and how to sew
Mother Dearest I look back today
And see all the love you gave to me
Teaching me all the rights and wrong
Helping me to grow within myself humble yet strong
Mother Dearest my mentor and hero
Encouraging and developing my skills
You were my teacher in so many things
And always the wind beneath my wings
Mother Dearest my closest friend
You taught me to believe in myself
Never to judge others out there
For we know not the pain that they may bare
Mother Dearest in my hearts pages I store
All the memories we shared through the years
Today I just to you want to say
Happy Mothers Day!
